Where do I get a users guide on how to use this gadget  I want to back up my desktop PC with it. such as photos, documents and  contacts. Where do I start and how do I use it? I have  Windows 8 and an 32GB Cruzer Glide USB Flash Drive.  How do I proceed?   Make it simple as I'm 85 and not familiar with this technology.

I am merely a customer of Newegg. I do not work for them. My first concern is that the drive you have is only 32 GB. I wonder how much memory storage you have on your computer.

What you would do though is insert the Cruzer into the USB drive. Windows 8 will automatically pick it up and should open a window or a dialog box (if so, click 'open folder to view files'). You can then drag and drop or copy and paste files into the window.

Final note, make sure you 'eject' the flash drive before you disconnect it from your computer. That could cause your flash drives memory to fail. A really simple way to do that is to mouse over to the bottom right of your screen, click the small triangle, and locate the icon that says 'Safely remove hardware and eject media'. Click on that, then click on the USB Stick below. If the USB stick has a light, it should go dark, at which point it is safe to remove.
