Can this flash drive be removed from the slider case?

I don't think it is designed to be removed from the case. It has a plastic case that feels "light", so it probably could be carefully "removed" from the case, but probably does not have inner cover inside the outer case.

Can the included software be deleted for use with Linux, or is it in firmware???

yes you can but then its just a thumb drive

Warranty question for sdcz800-128g-g46. SanDisk list warranty as Limited Lifetime but new egg list it as 2years?
