Is it recognized on a windows machine as a hard drive or as portable storage?

I would lean towards portable storage A drive letter such as E: is assigned when it is installed in the USB port and the device driver is installed.

Do any of y'all know if this has UASP?

No it is not, however, if you google "128GB Extreme Pro USB 3.1 UASP" and look for a result from everythingusb dot com, you'll find an article that has this and several other flash drives reviewed with a lot of details about them all.  Of the 8 drives compared, only one was UASP capable.  However, that seemed to only have an impact on max file read speed (the UASP drive had the best large file read speeds), but when it came to writing (especially small file write speeds) the UASP drive under-performed compared to some of the others including this one.  I run a persistent install of Ubuntu Linux on mine and it flies.

is this linux compatable?

I have one of these formatted with btrfs to hold an Arch Linux installation (that is, as a bootable drive), and I haven't run into any problems yet.

I've had other USB flash drives and hard drives that have chronic filesystem corruption problems, especially on btrfs, but this one has been solid.
