Will this card work in a pci-e 2.0 slot?

It will, I have a evga x58 motherboard with this card installed in it. I had to overclock my CPU  a little bit just so it wouldn't bottleneck but it still should work for 2.0 slots.

Your PSU will easily power this card as long as you're not running other very high wattage devices as well. This card only uses 250-300 watts at max load, which you will rarely if ever reach. It requires 31 amps on the rail and your PSU has 58. You could probably run two 290s with that PSU, but that would not be recommended.

No, there is a sticker in the package with a download link for the game. Just fill out a form and the number found on the sticker and you should be good to go.

Well there are always cheaper cards, but you get what you pay for. This particular model is  very good value for the price. I am not entirely knowledgeable on mining but I heard AMD cards get more hashes/watt

Will this card work with my Ultra LSP650 PSU. It has both 6 and 8 pin power connections?

You need a 6+2 and a 6 pin. A standard 4-Pin/8-Pin EPS connector is for your mobo/gpu auxiliary power connection not a graphics card.

Looking at the stats of your PSU it does not appear you have a 6+2 pin, but if you have a 6+2 and a 6 pin then I believe the PSU is powerful enough. These cards draw about 250-300 watts at max load. They also come with a dual molex to 8 pin connector which you could, in theory, use to power the card with the PSU you listed. This is not the recommended setup, but it will usually work just fine. If you do this try to use one molex connection from 2 seperate feeds from the PSU, this will distribute the electric load over 2 wires instead of one. Your PSU has the wattage and amps on the rail to power this card, it just appears to not have the 6+2 from my quick search, which might be wrong.

i bought the gigabyte version can i put the sapphire version with it?? i am trying to crossfire. is there voltage unlock with sapphire, my gigabyte doesnt have voltage unlock like my 7970's, does the r9 290 have voltage unlock??

You can in fact crossfire Any R9-290 with one another as long as it is an r9-290. Gigabyte will work fine with the sapphire card. Although the voltage on the sapphire version is locked to users. Although I believe there may be some ways to get around the voltage lock but I would not want to raise the voltage any more on this stock cooler.

After installing the VBIOS update for this card, my fan now runs up to 51% default settings.

Does anyone else experience this?
