For anyone who purchased this, did you receive it in an actual manufacturer box or just a brown box? Mine came in a plain brown box which makes me believe its a refurb or something

Brown box. Either means OEM or possibly refurb. Doesn't say either in this listing. Regardless, I have 2 and they have been mining without issues for 2 weeks. I'll buy yours if you don't like it ;)

What brand of memory does this non-Samsung base card have?

Hynix. Doesn't really matter though, I've been fighting this thing for three days, trying BIO mods, copying 1500, 1625 mem straps down, overclock, undervolting, and it REFUSES to go over 21.** MH/s or fluctuate at all on wattage. I'm questioning my sanity here.  I'll give you the advice I wish someone had given me-these are not worth the money. Pick a different 470.
