Is this compatible with windows 10? And what is the recommended power supply?

it will work fine with win 10, 
also not to be a D^*K but all i did was scroll down on the main page for this card and if u read under system requirements u may have found that one answer, anyway it says im gonna copy past this

i had a 7970ghz and i used a 800watt PSU and that worked fine oh ya um the 280x is a re-brand of the 7970 i know have that old card crossfired with a 280x works great im now using a 1200watt psu.   
this is my opinion but i would try to get a good PSU= power supply unit so that next time it comes to upgrading or what ever u may do ull have a good psu already and not need to sped money on it.

When the card is running full throttle, it will suck down about 280W of power.  The card's idle power consumption is closer to 12-15W.  The recommended power supply for a system with one card is 750W.  Of course, this assumes you aren't running a RAID of spindle drives.

Is this card compatible with the ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 AMD??

Yes this card will work just fine with that Motherboard.  The only real compatibility issue to think about is if your PSU is strong enough (~750watts) and if your case is large enough to hold this beast.

I happen to have removable drive cages which helped me fit it in no problem.

What does it look like installed?  It looks like the fans face down, doesn't that mean that the board will be showing instead of the flashy front if it's in a windowed case?

The board will be facing up when installed on most motherboards, fans facing down.  This is pretty standard with most motherboards and cases these days.  If you don't happen to own one of the more uncommon variety of motherboard/case that mounts the GPU fan-side up, the only other option to 'show off' the cool bezel and fans is to reconfigure your case upside down.  Normally one probably wouldn't go through all that trouble, but this card looks awesome and is worth 'showing off' in my opinion.

Keep in mind that there are 6 LED indicators on the board side of the card that indicate GPU temperature in real-time - so you may want to keep those facing up either way.  One thing I was thinking about trying is cutting a mirror to fit in the bottom of my case under my card so the cool-looking side can still be 'seen' when you look in the side of the case.

This board has exceeded my expectations so far.  The only thing that might be a problem is fitting it in your case... it just barely cleared my HDD cage by about a half inch.

Just did some quick research on this as well. Here's the text from wikipedia:

The Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI, pronounced as an initialism U-E-F-I or like "unify" without the n[a]) is a specification that defines a software interface between an operating system and platform firmware. UEFI is meant to replace the Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) firmware interface, originally present in all IBM PC-compatible personal computers.[2][3] In practice, most UEFI firmware images provide legacy support for BIOS services. UEFI can support remote diagnostics and repair of computers, even without another operating system.

Apparently this is a feature that was put into Windows 8 and will be more strongly enforced in windows 10. It's a security measure to prevent malware from damaging your BIOS boot process.

I'm by no means an expert on this, just did some quick reading on it.

Yes, it is compatible with that mobo. One 280x is more than enough to handle most modern games on ultra settings@1080p,60fps. No need for two, unless you're running multiple-monitors or very high resolutions.  These cards do run hot, so unless you have some pretty significant cooling options I wouldn't recommend two.

It will. However I would suggest going down a bit. Most set ups will require way less than 750w that is overkill unless you are running a ton of stuff. I have this card and have a 600w and don't even need that much. It's a grest price for value card.

Gerardo,

A 750W psu is the best choice (cost to power). But what matters is what other units you have in your case. If it is just the motherboard and one hard drive and this R9 280x and a low power CPU, you could use (maybe) a good 550W psu. But really this card does draw alot of power (and it runs great) and anything under 750w will be running the psu to or almost to the max, not a safe place to be. So pick up a 750w or higher and be safe.

Need more info on your rig. My rig runs this card,  an fx 8370 125 tdp,  4 nzxt 120mm case fans, Samsung 850 pro ssd 256gb,and an LG bd-re drive off an nzxt hale82 v2 700w single rail psu with no issues.

Tl;Dr
If you're rig isn't an energy suck you'll get by with a mid range psu.
