Would this make a good gaming monitor?

It works great for the games I play, which are not graphic intensive.  World of Tanks, Civilization, etc.  I don't have a high end video card either.  I have not tried any games that would be considered graphic intense.

How are the speakers?

The speakers are at the bottom back of the monitor and appear to face away from the user. In my office, my secretary sits 15+ feet away at an angle through a doorway, a room and another doorway. Using the monitor speakers she could hear the speakers better than I. Turned up to a comfortable level of listening for my office meant that it was intrusively loud at her desk. So back to the USB speakers facing me.  But standing on the backside of the monitor, the sound quality was perfectly acceptable for just typical desk music/radio. Up against the right kind of surface, they probably reflect back well and would do a good job filling a small room.

Question 4

I have installed the base and the screen tilts forward. It does not sit up straight or tilt backwards. Why is this?

I have had no problems with the display.  Perhaps the plastic film that comes wrapped around the base is still in place and is restricting the movement.  Also, if not completely removed , the film may be jammed in the mechanism.

What is the Panel type? (ie.  TN, IPS, etc.)  NewEgg can you please stop omitting Panel types on certain monitors, it seems like you do it on the "sale" monitors to snag the impulse buyers.

The viewable area is 23.5" wide x 13.25" high.

does this monitor have a headphone jack?

It has an audio IN to play sound through internal speakers for when you used the DVI or VGA in ports. No audio out from monitor.

Can this monitor be wall mounted or am I stuck with it sitting on the desk?

Specs indicate this has a 100 x 100 mm VESA compliant mount.  This means any wall mount that complies with this standard will work.  Wall mounts for this size monitor are inexpensive and probably available on Newegg.

They are relatively easy to install if you have done even minor home improvement projects.  Check for 'how to' videos online if not sure.

Question 10

Is the specification accurate that this display does NOT support HDCP?

I'm beginning to see a growing number of displays on Newegg that per the spec do NOT support HDCP, even when they include HDMI and/or DVI and/or DisplayPort input ports.

Is this a now common error in the specifications or are more and more displays/monitors really not supporting HDCP all of a sudden?

According the SCEPTRE's website, it supports HDCP.  I assume it is a given by this point?
