Yes it does.  2 drives in a RAID setup.  Works great.  Just map the IP address as a drive letter for backups

Yes. I set it up a while ago so I dont remember the exact steps, but ultra easy. Haven't had to mess with it once since setup.

I intend to access this NAS via wifi on my LAN. I have an 802.11N router and am using a 802.11N wifi card on my laptop. Typically wireless speeds achieve about half the transfer speed of a hard-wire Ethernet cable. I would guess that I would be able to achieve 150Mbps via wifi, am I being too optimistic?

Hello Clint!

One thing to think about is the read/write capabilities of the device you are considering purchasing. Though you may be able to achieve 150Mpbs+ using your Wi-Fi router, this will probably only be possible for file transfers (for example using Filezilla, or something similar). The read/write speeds of the Seagate device you are looking at will be the biggest factor.

what is the WiFi transfer speed? example: 54Mbps, 300Mbps etc

Hi Clint, this is not a wireless NAS. You can hook it up with an ethernet  cable to your wireless router if you have available ports. There are two NIC cards so you can double up the speed, though that will apply more to a wired network. The NIC cards are gigabit. The NAS also has a dual core processor. Sooooo to answer your question.... You are at the mercy of the speed of your wireless network as the NAS will handle whatever your wireless network can throw at it.

what is the hdd expansion capacity if i want to switch out for 2 larger drives?

Don't buy it. Go for qnap. This hardware is junk
