A Total War Saga: TROY [Online Game Code]

A Total War Saga: TROY is a downloadable PC strategy game for Steam that combines turn-based empire management with real-time battles inspired by The Iliad. It is suited to players who enjoy historical settings and both strategic planning and battlefield combat.

Recommended For

• Players who enjoy campaign-level planning—balancing food, wood, stone, bronze, diplomacy, and expansion—before fighting battles. Reviews highlight Troy’s multi-resource economy and campaign management as a central strength.
• Strategy players who want to alternate between turn-based empire management and real-time battles in one focused Trojan War campaign.
• Players interested in the Trojan War, Iliad-inspired characters, and a game that interprets myth through a historical lens rather than presenting the setting as straightforward history.
• Total War players curious about a Bronze Age entry that emphasizes infantry, terrain, and campaign decisions over the cavalry-heavy battles found in some other series entries.

Real-World Use Scenarios

• When you want a strategy campaign that rewards planning before expansion, manage several resources and choose which territories to capture so your settlements can support armies and future growth.
• When you want to take direct control of a battlefield, position and move units in real time to respond to enemy formations; you can also auto-resolve battles when you prefer to keep the campaign moving.
• When you want a campaign set around the Trojan War, choose a Greek or Trojan leader and pursue faction goals that shape how your version of the conflict unfolds.
• When you enjoy adapting your strategy to a faction’s situation, use diplomacy, resource trades, and alliances to support expansion or gain information about threats across the campaign map.
• When you want a mix of long-term planning and hands-on combat, alternate between turn-based decisions about settlements and armies and real-time battles where you direct your troops.
