Yes.  It does convection, microwave or both simultaneously depending on what you want.

Question 2

I want to build this unit into existing cabinet.  Do I need a kit to do this?  If so, What will it cost?  With the trim kit what are the dimensions?

I have mine in a specially built box attached to cabinets above - I did not use any kind of trim kit and it works fine - there is about two inches clearance on either side and about one inch in the back - I have never had any problems with this one - I would make sure you have a bit of room around the unit or if you want it completely "built in" by the kit - my understanding is that the kid adds ventilation for the unit.

I previously owe 2 earlier versions of this same appliance - the first lasted 20+ years and the other 10+ years and have been very happy with all three
