Question 1

Has anyone used this to mount 2 different sized panels?  I have a 27" screen for my primary and a 24" for my secondary.  The 27" sits pretty much directly in front of me and the 24" kind of angles in from my right.  I'd like to keep a similar setup with this mount and try to regain some desk space lost by having an individual stand for each screen.  Any issues with getting them to line up ok you think?  Thanks in advance.

I haven't actually put two different sized panels on the several I've set up, but given the way they articulate--allowing individual forward/back motion and angle adjustment--I'm fairly certain you'd have no problem doing this--you should be able to get the edges right up against each other and with a relative angle of whatever you want.  It would unbalance the arm a bit toward the heavier panel, but the pole and mount are beefy enough that this shouldn't be an issue either.

The only potential pitfall is that both arms are fixed on the same horizontal plane, which is to say that how the two monitors line up vertically will be entirely at the mercy of their sizes and where the VESA mount holes in the rear are.

If they both have centered holes, then they'll be centered, which might be fine or might be annoying if you prefer to have the smaller monitor lined up with the top or bottom edge of the larger one.  If one has off-center mounting holes, then it could end up significantly higher or lower than you'd expect, which again might be good or bad depending on how you want them to line up.

Question 2

What is the width of the Mounting pole?

The pole as shown, about 1.5 inch, if you have to drill a hole in wood to mount that way, the part you don't see that goes through the wood is about 1/2 inch.

Question 3

Did anyone else have issues tightening the main clamp bolt for adjusting height? If so, did you ever manage to get it to tighten enough to hold 2 monitors and how?

We have used 2 set now for over a year and I can't remember if I had a problem with any of the clamps. I have not had to make any adjustments since the installation.

What is the vertical distance to the center of the VESA mount?

10 inches ish, mgiht be more, that's a rough estimate on looking at it

What is the vertical distance to the center of the VESA mount plates?

Accepted Answer

This distance is adjustable, depending on what you set the height at the middle vertical support.  This should give you an adjustment range of about 14-14.5 inches.
