HOW I UPDATE THIS DRIVER OF INTERNET?????????

I'd try the following(Windows  7)
1.)Start Menu>right click comp>properties>device manager>Sound,video and game controllers> right click C-Media PCI Audio Device(thats how it appears for me)>update driver software

2.) go to the manufacturers website and search for drivers based off your model

Side note: I bought this card in case I wanted to upgrade from 5.1 to 7.1 surround sound at some point but found out it supports ONLY 7.1.  If you try to use 5.1 speakers you will only get sound from whatever is plugged into the regular stereo(green) jack

Will this card output digital passthrough audio via the coax or is it down mixed to 2 channels?

Depending on the situation you get both answers.

Yes, if the application is sending the digital signal complete, while watching a movie for instance. Caution is advised as I have never done that. The documentation does state it allows pass through.

For video games only the stereo is sent through the optical connection. The other channels will need to be patched in to your stereo amplifier/receiver. That is my personal setup. I have yet to find a PC based solution that will do 5.1/7.1 strictly through the optical connection.
