Reviews say this is hard to install and large. I am running a Fractal Design Core 1000 mATX case. Will this heatsink fit in my computer case?

Things that are a pain in the butt about this heatsink:

1) If you don't have a cutout to remove your current heatsink's backplate, you'll have to remove the motherboard to install it.

2) The fan connects to the heatsink by some rubber thingies that you have to slide into the grill itself.  The bad part of this is that you are sliding the tabs of the rubber dongles perpendicularly against the grill so there's a lot of resistance and it's a pain to get them in (probably 15-20 minute of work unless you know a fancy trick I don't).

Regardless, this won't fit in your case.  The specifications for your case on newegg say that it supports heatsinks up to 135mm, but this heatsink measures about 15cm // 150mm // 6 inches.

Which is too bad cause this thing is definitely quiet and I haven't had any temperature problems with my FX-8150 although I don't do any benchmarking and rarely play AAA games.

Will this fit on my MSI 890FXA-GD70 AM3+ main borad?

This item worked very well on my Intel motherboard,  the fan had both adapters for AMD and Intel,  and i would recommend this item to anyone, a stress test of Prime95 never had the CPU go over 50C.
