does this fit socket am3+?

Yes, it does, but I would not recommend this heat sink and fan for an AM3+ chip. It is honestly worse than the stock heat sink that came with my FX 6300. My idle temps are around 25-29 C's, but when I popped this one in cause.. hey it's cheap.. the idle temps went up to 38-40 C's. Threw it out instantly. It's just not designed well for anything newer than the Athlons
