Since this is has an intake fan, does it have a dust filter behind the grille?

No dust filter. The hd's don't get very dusty though as most of the dust collects on the front grill. I have to clean it about once a month.

Also, be aware the this thing is much bigger than you think. I initially had a large motherboard with the RAM in the top right corner. I had to trim the corners of the removable plates to install it...

Question 2

from the looks of this it dose not come with any mounting materials for ssd only standard drives what would you recommend I use to mount an ssd or laptop drive in this unit?

The unit includes no 2.5 to 3.5inch adapter hardware. Luckily, that stuff is common and cheap (especially for SSDs, since vibration isn't an issue).

The Maximum-Cheapskate approach is to take some nasty old 40GB 3.5 incher from your junk pile, dissasemble it, and use the bottom plate(which has the screw holes) and some double sided tape. Not pretty; but it works.

If you are feeling classy, the SDP08 that Scotty suggested would allow you to get 8 2.5 inchers mounted in this.

If you are feeling slightly more cost sensitive, just search for "ssd adapter" on newegg. The cheap seats are pretty much a flat sheet of steel with parts bent up in the correct places to accept screw holes, or a couple bits of plastic with screw holes in the right place. Expect to pay about $5, possibly less in quantity.

Question 3

Can I remove the front middle piece with the Silverstone logo from the product without breaking?

Yes there are 4 tabs, 2 on each side. I had to figure this out to change the fan as it doesn't move a lot of air for a stock intake fan. You'll also want to measure the distance of your motherboard edge to the front of the case. This unit is rather long and I couldn't use it in the case intended, but found a use in my other case.

Question 4

How is this product at keeping the HDD's cool? Do you moniter HDD temps? I am worried about buying this and placing all 4 HDD's in there and notice my temp gets to high. Thanks.

Pretty decently. I had a Scythe rheobus positioned just above mine, with a temp probe between the drives, and the 120MM fan attached to the controller. Temps were quite manageable around the upper 20s low 30s. Hope this helps.
