The code is completely free and has no burden upon you so stop complaining that you're getting something for nothing! The game is free but there aren't a million things that you can spend money on so the codes are definitely worth something!

What items? What is this code even for? So, with my Intel NUC I got a laughable 5" by 5" mouse pad, a code for a free game and a t-shirt for the same game?

Nothing anywhere that tells you what this code does, and I'm not going to register just to find out. Is this even worth giving to the one friend I have that does play Planetside 2?

Lousy promotion by Newegg and Intel.

The code gives you a seven day power up of some sort (I forget what exactly, and I'm not home to check.) I agree its pretty useless if you don't already play the game, but yeah, you'd friend might find it useful. WARNING - i'm not at all sure everyone gets the same thing.
