It is a Square Enix code. I purchased this and tried very hard to migrate my account to Steam through the SE customer support center, but to no avail.

It is just the key code.  No fancy box or compact disc.  You download the "Free" version of the game first.  Then once you put the key code in, an update will give you the rest.  "Good Luck" hope to see you on-line enjoying this awesome game.

I didn't see a time limit to use it, the only code I remember getting was activating all three games, so as long as the servers are up you should be good.

Unfortunately, this will not work if you have the Steam version of the game.
