Is it possible to plug the TSP LAN printer directly into a PC instead of using it over the network?

I don't see why that wouldn't work, provided your network is set up appropriately. You'd probably need to use a crossover cable if there's not a hub or switch in between. Keep in mind (I have no idea of your network know-how so this may or may not be obvious): if you disconnect your computer from an existing network/internet connection to plug into this printer (or any other device), you will lose access to that network/internet source. I do not know the best paper to use. I have used whatever has been available/cheapest. They all seem to work well for my application.

There isn't a ribbon. It is a thermal printer that requires thermal paper. Pretty standard these days

Yes, that's the manufacturer's product number. I have 3 of them in a veterinary hospital, used with the IDEXX Cornerstone practice management system integrated with XCharge payment processing. Setup and configuration was easy, and so far (in use about 2 months, with several dozen transactions printed per day) they have been 100% reliable.

You will need to set it up as a network printer with a mac or PC 1st and then all devices can work with it

Hi do you know if it work with the ''Square'' in a Samsung Tab3 with a USB OTG (On-The-Go) adaptor ? And do you have this adaptor ? Do you also have a cash drawer for that ?

The star SDK has an open framework, but square is a company with a history of supporting very limited hardware options. The Star printer will use any pos cash drawer, so long as you have the correct cable. I only use apple products with the pos interface, because I develop the apps in house.

Is the TSP 100 u wireless capable or do i need to buy the LAN model?

There is no such thing as a wireless receipt printer by Star.

They make bluetooth printers that are wireless but I don't believe they are able to handle the same volume of printing as these models.

This printer has to be connected with ethernet to your router.

not sure, never tried. if your application in your mac supports this printer it should be fine, as this printer is connected to the network, not directly to your mac.

Does this printer come with RJ11 port to connect to and open a cash drawer?

No, it doesn't. Sometimes they will come with the cash drawer. Just make sure that cable states that it is for Star. Usually it is a APG wire.
