has anyone tried to use this to connect a laptop to the Microsoft Surface Hub Display Port input for displaying a second PC?

I used mine for a Wacom Cintiq Pro tablet which basically worked as a second monitor & it worked for that.

I will be using this along with an HDMI switchbox to hook up multiple gaming platforms to my monitor. My only question is will the audio be transferred from a PS3, PS4, Xbox360, or an Xbox One to the monitor along with the video signal?

As long as your hdmi selector passes audio and your monitor accepts audio over display port you should be fine. We did not have speakers on our monitor as we utilized an audio extractor for hdmi to strip the audio out of the hdmi feed prior to going into the converter.
