Can I use this PCI to PCIe adapter with a PCIe to M.2 card? I am Trying to add an M.2 drive to a pc that only has a PCI slot.

I understand why you want to try this, but unfortunately I don't advise it.  You can do it, just realize that your M.2 drive will be bottle necked by the PCI slot speed (I'm not exactly sure what the actual PCI speed is, but I know for sure that it is slower than PCIe speeds).  You don't say what processor or what board you have, but maybe consider upgrading to a board that has more PCIe slots (some of the newer boards have dedicated M.2 slots) or maybe free up one of the PCIe slots you already have?

No, this adapter allows you to install a low-profile PCI-Express card into a conventional PCI slot.  The card you're asking about is a conventional PCI card.  You need the PEX1PCI1 to install a conventional PCI card into a PCI-Express slot.

If I remember correctly it comes with both low profile and standard brackets. I think it has the low profile installed and I had to switch it to fit my standard case.
