Does this support recording AUDIO as well as the video?  I am not seeing a audio connector in any of the product photos or descriptions.

Yes, definitely.
The yellow RCA jack is the composite video. The red and white jacks are the right and left audio channels.
If you use the S-video connector for video, you still need to use the audio jacks to record/capture audio.

Will this unit work with a Windows 10 operating system?

dependentcompatibilityHello. The answer is yes it will with qualifications. I installed it on two Win 10 units
and one a HP laptop had no issues. The other was a custom desktop (main machine)
with MSI motherboard. All video installed manually well but USB sound was showing
but not playing. All drivers working and checked. Went to program location for TotalMedia 3.5 and moved compatibility to Win 7. Program has worked fine since then. Seems to be more machine dependent than OS dependent as to issues.

Will this work with a chromebook/Android based laptop?

It has a standard USB connection.  If you have one on your Android laptop it will work to connect things like a VCR, which is how I put it to use.

Unit captures a/v great, but cannot record, what am I missing?

I made sure to use the editing software that came with the device.

Would this device be recognized by Corel Video studio pro8 or any Corel Video editing software?

I don't believe that this device would be recognized by any other editing software other than the Movavi software that it comes with.  It probably is proprietary software for the Star Tech.  I have two other editing software and neither would recognize it.  It does work well.

Question 6

A/V capture works great but does not record on mac.  What am I missing to record??

I believe it is dependent on the program as my unit is recognized by CyberLink Total Media 3.5 and Pinnacle software.
