Question 1

I purchased this to be used with an HDMI Splitter to display on 2 additional monitors.  it works with 1 monitor connected directly to it, but not with 2 monitors connected with an HDMI splitter Coboc #12-423-061.  Any insight why this wouldn't work?

If either the source or destination devices that you have connected when using the splitter require a digital "handshake," it will more than likely fail. (Google HDCP) Unfortunately, the only way around that if it doesn't work is to use equipment that doesn't require this handshake, or trial and error.

Would this work with an Xbox One? I want to plug my Xbox One into the Acer XB240H monitor which only has a DisplayPort connection because it uses the first generation GSync module.

i dont see why it wouldnt. we use it on video out of display port on a laptop to an hdmi in on a tv and have had zero problems with it. the same should apply for your situation hdmi out to display port in on your monitor.
