Pros: It works, simple as that.

Cons: None.
Overall Review: I just upgraded to the Radeon 7950 series from the 6950/70 series. The 7950's have a single DVI, HDMI, and dual mini-display ports. My main 1080P display is DVI. However I also run an "older" 4:3 LCD display for work related tasks, it uses VGA.
The XFX Double D Radeon 7950 Black Edition comes with an HDMI to DVI adapter, but that's it. Also, you can not run HDMI to DVI/VGA dongle since HDMI does not carry a VGA signal.
Display ports do however. So this active mini-display port to VGA adapter worked great. Allows me to continue using my secondary display without having to invest in a new one when this one still works flawlessly for the needed tasks.
Pros: It works on my Radeon 6950 video card (see notes)
Picture is perfect, no lines, distortion, or discoloration. does up to 1920x1080 resolution
Cons: none so far
I do not use audio on my hdmi, so I can't say if/how good it works
Overall Review: I bought this to try out eyefinity on my Xfx 6950 video card. While it does work for adapting mini display to hdmi, it will not work for a 3rd screen. With this hooked up, I could use any combination of 2 of the 3 monitors at one time. But never all 3 at once. I "think" it is because this adapter is passive instead of active (active usually have a usb cord for power).
Works Fine as a PASSIVE adapter2/8/2013 11:11:01 AM
Pros: Works fine with full HD resolutions out of the box.
Cons: As others have said, this is a PASSIVE adapter. You CANNOT use EYEFINITY with this adapter (eg: 3 or more monitor set up). You will need an active adapter for this.
Overall Review: I wish I did more research...

Great Product1/25/2012 8:19:03 AM
Pros: Works well and will save you a ton.
Cons: None (so far)
Overall Review: Just so potential buyers know, this is an ACTIVE adapter. Therefore, this will work with those trying to connect a third monitor to an aftermarket gpu for an Eyefinity setup. This is much cheaper than buying a $100 converter.
Pros: I have two VGA monitors and I bought a new ATI gaming card (7870), this adapter allowed me to use the miniport to the Monitors VGA and worked perfectly.
Overall Review: Consider that this converter conveniently converts my connection. Consequently I can confidently confirm that this conduit conveys convincingly. If you concur, consumer, then contrive to acquire this conductor without concern.
Pros: Its an adapter and it works. CC considers it a displayport monitor meaning it works with Eyefinity. It hot plug and played with an LG 1650by1050 monitor works great, no noticeable response time lag.
Cons: When my system is powered down the monitor flashes the "check connection" screen. Not a big deal it just reminds me to turn off my monitor.
Overall Review: The unit is smaller than I expected. Also switching to mini displayport its a really good connection. The plug is nice and tight and holds in quite well much better than HDMI.
Pros: It works, simple as that. See "Other thoughts"
Cons: None.
