it's 7mm?

It's thicker than 7mm. The docuentation with it claims it's 98.0mm x 68.0mm x 9.8mm so that would probably be the official answer. When I measured it I thought it came up to a little closer to 8mm but still definitely more than 7.

I bought this product and am using it with a Crucial M550 CT256M550SSD3 drive.  I noticed that the drive appears to heat rather quickly, and within 10 minutes the drive is almost 150F, while formatting it was almost 200F.  The crucial spec says that the normal operating temp is 0 to +70C (158F).  This seems excessively high to me.  Does anyone know if this is a normal operating temp for an SSD drive or could this be an issue with the enclosure?

your problem is probably the drive not the adapter, have you tried a different adapter or a tablet that uses mSata cards? SSDs are like any other memory too hot they break.

Hello. I'm trying to recover the memory of my SSD from my December of 2013 Macbook Pro. This is all very new to me, so I'm wondering if I can use this product to convert the memory to a drive size that I can access? I guess mine is too new so there aren't any enclosures made for it yet. Here is a link to what my drive looks like. Just add the www in front of it and fix the dot come part.

I believe you are asking if you can place your laptop's drive within this enclosure and recover data from it.  If, and only if, your drive is mSATA (not 2.5in. SATA nor M.2) and the drive is in good working order you should be able to perform the operation described.  I'm not terribly familiar with Macs, but that shouldn't have an impact on the operation (unless you are trying to recover data to a PC, which may or may not work due to file type).  You should be able to simply dig through the files to find what you need and simply copy them, or perform a full clone of the drive to capture all of the files (though the OS copy, nor the programs, won't work correctly on a different machine).
