Pros: A must for anyone building computers, Warning, Used in tandum with a wrist strap this is the system that is needed to ensure no e.s.d. damage, should not be used by itself.

Cons: Not a Con at all, originally didn't like the white but found it perfect for the use with the ability to see screws and other small parts.

Overall Review: The only way this mat works and how it works is, You attatch the strap to the case and put it on the mat, this equalizes anything attached securely to the case, now you use a wrist strap to the case or the metal clip of the strap to the mat and now you are equalized, if your not strapped to it your not equalized and could cause a discharge. I find so many people don't realize this.

Pros: Does the job it is supposed to.

Cons: For those getting into electronics, they know they need it, but don't know how to ground it. A simple card showing them how to properly ground the mat would make it universally great.

Pros: Prevents ESD in a nice little square. Gives plenty of room to assemble a motherboard outside of a case. Because of of this product and a hand anti-static wrist wrap, putting together a new computer was a snap.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: Roll it out and put some books on it, as someone has mentioned. That way you have a flat surface.

Pros: If you're serious about ESD (and you should be!) then you need to get one of these. I am (mainly) employed in the two-way radio business; but do the occasional computer related job. Both of these markets nowadays use equipment that can't stand the slightest electro-static charge. I've seen quite a few radios and computers destroyed by "improper handling". Get one of these and you will reduce that risk by at least 50 percent. I've had half a dozen of these (not exact same brand/model) and a few weeks ago my second one "changed owner", whilst on the road, without my permission. Had to get another one, naturally; and this one was the perfect fit. I used to pay close to a hundred bucks for one of these, many years ago. So get one now, even if you use it only once!

Cons: None, really. It's a must-have item. And Newegg's shipping was very reasonable. Just a few bucks, so they obviously found a cheaper way to ship these (as opposed to some of the other reviews you'll find here).

Overall Review: Other thoughts....? I miss Miss Lucy :-(

Pros: Provides a nice clean surface to lay out your components. Clip this to your case as well as an anti-static bracelet, lay your components on the mat before you touch them directly, and you have a three-part system (you, your case, and anything touching the mat) that is internally electrically neutral.

Cons: Came rolled up REALLY tightly, had to flatten it out with some heavy books on the corners overnight. Not worth deducting an egg, though.

Overall Review: My computer posted first try, and is still working a few weeks later with no noticeable problems. If you're spending $200-300 on a CPU or video card, why not pick this up?

Pros: Nice size, very handy, helps tremendously working on systems.

Cons: The edges don't flatten out too well

Overall Review: Bought it for ease in working on building computers, and so far it's proven to be very useful

Pros: 1. Durable (as much as it can be) and large anti-static mat. 2. Rolled out flat quickly after unpacking. 3. Easy to wipe clean.

Cons: A dark color would have been better as mine is dirty and scuffed after a week of solid use.
