Does it support Mac? it only listed windows. Will further firmware update support Mac?

On the StarTech website it says that it supports Mac OS X 10.x, from Yosemite and up.

At 3840 x 2160 resolution is it running at 30hz or 60hz? Does it matter what internal on-board graphic chip set is?

Given the bandwidth limits of USB 3.0, even with DisplayLink's compression algorithm (that's the tech behind this product), it's unlikely you'll get 60HZ. I believe that your graphics chip is not important. This product uses your CPU to draw the extra display (so make sure to have a decent CPU).

Can this product be used to extend display from a PC to an older (2009) model 27"iMac?

i dought the mac driver is compatable.
