Do these have unique MAC addresses? I'd like to use one on each of my two computers, will this cause interference?

yes it has unique mac's.

These are fully capable bluethooth devices... this is not a bluetooth dongle specifically designed for a keyboard or mouse.

If you are trying to sync a phone to computer via bt... great... or play music on a BT speaker... or play music to your car audio set.

However,  if you are trying to sync files between computers... use a network cable or wifi connection, not BT.

This thing work on a Mac OSX operating system?

I use it on a custom made Mac desktop. Bluetooth shows up in system preferences without any software installation. It is plug n play and guaranteed to work 100%. I have not had any problem using my Mac Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. Cheers.

Included software was useless.  I have, however, had many problems with so called "plug & play" and drivers on Windows 7, so I suspect some of the fault lies with Windows and their so called "updates".  Had to download 3rd party software to get this to work.  Blue Soliel at 27 bucks.  No I'm not happy, but I needed Bluetooth and now it works.

Pros: worked as advertised on Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 with some issues with the driver.

Cons: strangely, the CSR drivers cause a crash on many programs requiring entering of credentials (i.e. Windows user/password).  I experienced this using Remote Desktop (entering new credentials) and even just when browsing files in windows explorer on a LAN (when entering of new credentials was required).  This happened in Windows 8.1 and 10, and I was using the latest CSR drivers as of 8/2015.  Whenever credentials were already stored, it wasn't an issue.  (crash was tracked down to callstack within the CSR drivers)

LG Bluetooth Headsets and Pairing with Stereo Bluetooth Transmitters -- can this be achieve as my headset does not have a display which would normally be available on say i phone?

Yes, instructions for pairing your headset will normally tell you to hold down the power button or a combination of buttons for an extended time which will put the headset in pairing mode, (usually indicated by the power LED blinking). You then put the computer in discovery mode and the pairing should finish automatically.  After that, as long as the Bluetooth is enabled on the computer, every time you turn on the Headset within range of the system, they will connect.

would this dongle allow me to stream music from through bluetooth on my iPhone to a hifi dac connected to a home stereo?  I was hoping to plug it into one of the dac's usb inputs.

I think you would be able to pull off what you want with this dongle. I hooked up an Apple TrackPad to a Lenovo PC with this dongle. I, of course, needed to do some stuff with the driver but connection was easier than going through Lenovo’s BlueTooth antena. I

It "should"; though I've only used it to connect to a bluetooth headset (Voyager Pro+) via a Toshiba Satellite L875D using Windows 8 (8.1) native drivers.
