Pros: a solid flash drive, and a great price
Overall Review: i found that i had 16.7 GB, not much more but it's still the opposite then the usual
Pros: Great price, fairly fast, pretty small (especially if u remove the metal flip cover). 16GB is great for taking audio or movies (divx or an HD series) on the go. Transfer rate is pretty good, its not lightning fast but its fast enough (10-20MB/sec write and read is usually about 20+MB/sec)
Cons: If you don't like the metal cover (its really metal not a plastic junker) just remove it, might take a little strength but it just bends out for quick removal.
May not be fast for many people, seek time is a little slow if you got a ton of little files but that's typical on flashmem drives.
Overall Review: I just needed a way to transport big files and this does the trick. Super Talent products I've bought in the past (NIC, SD card readers, and memory) have worked well, they're definitely cheaper, and worth a try.
Pros: Plenty of space for many purposes. Looks and feels like a serious disk, not a toy. When running an OS from this disk, responsiveness occasionally seems very slightly slower, but programs load noticeably faster than from my 5400RPM laptop hard drive.
Cons: The swivelling guard thing on it can get in the way sometimes.
When I plug it in, do I swing it all the way back and make it a longer target for accidentally bumping? Moving it to the side works, but I've already managed to block my second USB port that way by plugging this in before my mouse and failing to notice. Fixing that either meant jostling the disk while it was active to move the guard to the other side, or unmounting it first.
Either way, a minor but real hassle.
Overall Review: I've got two partitions on this puppy: a two-GB fat32 with a bunch of portable windows software on it, and a 13-ish GB ext3 partition that holds a bootable installation of Xubuntu. This drive works great for that. Too small to hold a meaningful amount of my media, but the perfect size for putting a complete, multi-platform working environment in your pocket. Technology's amazing.
Pros: Formatted to NTFS, 15.5GB. Tested with 4.3GB ISO file, write speed is 14.5MB/s & read speed is about twice that. Nice solid feel, good capless design. Works very reliably so far. I used it with my Western Digital WD TV Media Player and ISO video files played perfectly without a hitch.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: Super Talent does not advertise this flash drive as "high-speed", but it it a dual channel design and the performance is very respectable.
Pros: Large capacity.
Collapse to keep the USB end protected.
Overall Review: This USB drive seems pretty good. I've only been using it for a short amount of time (about 2-3 months) but it seems pretty reliable. I like the way it folds up to protect the USB plug. The speed seems to be OK. I've not noticed the speed being slow, so it must be fast enough.
I do recommend this product, espessially for the price ($39.99) for the size (16 GB)
Pros: Transfers at a decent speed, large capacity for low price.
Cons: Wish it had a cap.
Overall Review: Well, make sure you format it after you receive it, before I did it game me unbearable speeds taking 1 gigabyte over and hour to transfer.
Pros: Decent write speed, about 8~12MBps depending on file size.
Cheap for a 16GB.
Works great with a keyring or lanyard, provided you have a thin ring to hook it to (not provided).
Cons: You get what you pay for -- it worked well for 3 weeks and then with no explanation suddenly became "Write Protected" above 4GB. I can format it and start writing to it, but as soon as i hit ~4GB of files stored on the drive it starts throwing errors. I have to format it again to temoporarily fix it.
Overall Review: I should have spent more and gotten a more reputable brand.
Pros: I like the design, Rotates to hide USB connector. The size of the drive is not to small that you would lose it, but not so big it gets in the way, or won't plug in. 16 GB Tremendous amount of space for removable flash device at a great price.
Cons: "Dead .On. Arrival " Plugged it into a Windows Vista machine and the whole system would not respond until drive was unplugged. The rotating points to conceal the USB connector could easily come undone with a pinch. Although it has a slot for one, there is no LANYARD included. "EXCHANGE ONLY", "NO REFUND"
Overall Review: I hope the replacement is functional and as good as or equal to my 2GB Ativa im using now. I hope to replace the 2GB Ativia with this drive.
