Supermicro lets you take advantage of the increasing capacities of 3.5" form factor drives with the 6025B-3V 2U barebone server system. It is based on the new Super X7DB3 motherboard and will accept up to 2 Intel Xeon processors with 2 or 4 cores each. To support all the processing power you can install up to 32GB of fully buffered ECC memory.
The front of the chassis has 8 hot swappable 3.5" drive bays. The motherboard has 6xSATA ports and supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 10. An EIDE port lets you plug in 2 other drives. All these fit into a 2U chassis. The whole thing is powered by an 80PLUS Certified 560W power supply so the system will get all the power that it needs.
