Does the RAID card support RAIDS 0, 1, 5, and 10?

There are two modes on the raid controller the Adaptec mode supports all the raid modes, but the other controller mode does not support raid 5.. Also you have to pick thru supermicro's ftp site to get the correct drivers. It can sometimes be difficult to get windows to install using the raid drivers.. There is a bit of trick to it... Linux works without issue.. We have 12 of these units in service as Hyper-V cluster nodes. We love them.

Owners - is this 1U fan decibels audible after boot? Have some Dell C1100's and after boot they are quiet. Purchase is for a home lab.

Fans are very loud at power on but ramp down to a quieter level once the POST is finished (this option is default but can be changed in BIOS setup). Even after the ramp-down it is still not whisper quiet, though. You probably would not want to sit right next to it and work all day but it's not excessive. The fans will ramp up as needed according to internal temperature so you need to consider the environment.
