What is the purpose of the SUPERMICRO MCP-220-00044-0N?

The SUPERMICRO MCP-220-00044-0N is a mounting bracket designed to convert a single 3.5-inch bay to support two 2.5-inch hard drives.

I know this mounts in an open space in a 1U server, so it could be quite a bit taller than the standard 3.5" drive bay, but how tall is it? Specifically, how tall of a disk drive can be mounted in this bracket? Is there space for a pair of 15mm tall drives? Thanks.

Yes there is... I have 2 1tb drives in a mirror config and they fit perfectly.. It is made to fit then SM server case.
