I don't need a CPU fan?

This is a passive heatsink, it works without a fan. This heatsink is designed for low power CPUs. I use mine on an intel i3 4130T (TDP 35W). I spoke to SuperMicro's support staff and they advised that this was a good choice for the CPU I purchased. I'd imagine this cooler would be enough for any compatible CPU with a TDP less than perhaps 50 or 60 watts, but I recommend that you make a similar inquiry.
