How long is the power cable?

The little red and black cable that comes with it is a power cable and on Supermicro boards, the power output for that cable is always within a couple inches of the SATA-0 port and the cable is more than long enough.  It only takes 5 volt power from the system board.  If you are not using a Supermicro system board, there are some other manufacturers of a similar product that come with a cable to adapt to molex.  Lots of options out there.
