Overall Review: I have this card installed in a HP Proliant N54L Microserver. I have all external ports connected up to external HDD and the internal port connected up to a SSD. The server has be running 24/7 for more than 4 months and I have not experienced any problems whatsoever with the Syba card. Reliability is a key feature for a server application and this card is doing great so far. Data transfer rates through the ports is as fast as the connected drives. I measured transfer speeds between Seagate 7200rpm HDD's at peak speeds of 220MB/sec for short periods with sustained speeds in excess of 150MB/sec. That is as fast as those drives can be. I measured data transfer speeds with a Vertex 3 SSD in excess of 500MB/sec which is what the mfg spec says is the maximum speed. This card has a total of 4 USB 3.0 ports. The cost of the card, including the low profile bracket (important for a Proliant Microserver where space is very tight) was the same as several other PCIe cards with only one or two ports. I went to the website and downloaded the drivers for this card. The CD that came with this card had the most current drivers so there was no difference in performance. Be aware that the CD has many other drivers for different device than just this card. You will have to choose the drivers you want or you load up a lot of extra drivers if you select them all. I only tested this card with supplemental power supplied to the card to power the ports. Some people want cards that do not need secondary power. My research indicates that USB 3.0 ports require more power and if you wish to use devices which pull power from the port (for charging or to run a device) it is necessary to put supplemental power to the port. Its a reliability issue. I am happy with this USB 3.0 PCIe card performance and reliability. I recommend it.

Pros: Hardware and software installed without any noticeable conflicts or device recognition issues with preexisting hardware or with itself.

Overall Review: The SYBA Renesas Chip, (SD-PEX20137) USB 3.0 PCI card and software (CD) produced a clean Device Manager, void of yellow marks. The experience unlike that I got from the Syba 3 Port USB 3.0 PCI-e Card with 1 Internal Header (SD-PEX20080) using the VLI chip. The NetGear Wi-Fi stick and SYBA Renesas chip working with no hiccups, connected to a “G” WiFi at 11.0 Mbps. The Kingston USB 2.0 stick, writing a 186 MB, Word Doc in 35 sec. verse the native USB 2.0 port on the MB at 45 sec. ATTO 2.47 Disk Benchmark USB 2.0 port 9.8K wrt, 17.6K rd, SYBA USB 3.0 port 10.7k wrt, 19.1 rd. Base system; Intel DP55KG MB, two SATA RAID 0’s, USB 2.0 Patriot (Speed Boost) Stick, USB 2.0 Kingston Stick, NetGear N600 Dual Wireless USB 2.0 WiFi Stick, Logitech K340 USB 2.0 KB, Dell U2410 monitor with USB 2.0 hub, and BT Microsoft 5000 mouse. The new SYBA PCIe USB 3.0 card appearing invisible to the system, equal to or better than the previous ASUS, NEC chip based USB 3.0 card that failed after 2+ years.

Pros: I've bought a couple of these. One was installed in an XP Home box with an MSI FM2+ motherboard. The MB has USB3 ports but I needed more. The other card was installed in a Win7 64-bit box, with an ancient ASRock 939 motherboard and PCI-e 1.0. This box needed some USB 3.0 love, it had none of it's own. In both cases, the cards came right up and worked great, once the driver was installed.

Cons: It's a bit tricky to install the driver. Cancel Windoze's attempt to do it automatically, it won't work. Insert the CD and navigate to the Renesas\windows directory. There's a setup.exe program. Use that.

Overall Review: It can be handy to have an internal USB3 port, which is why I like these cards. With newer external 2.5 inch drives no longer using native SATA drives in them, and often being difficult to disassemble anyway, I occasionally find myself with an orphan external drive, i.e. no place to use it. This card lets me use that drive internally on a desktop system - and if I don't need the portability, I much prefer the drive to be internal. This card solves the problem nicely.

Pros: Does exactly what it says. Warning the little disk that it comes with, does not have product specific drivers. Windows 7 took a little bit of time to recognize it, but one it did, it worked great.

Cons: The included disk apparently had drivers for everything they make, not so much a con, but hard to determine which one you need.

Pros: 3 USB 3.0 ports are more than I'll probably ever need. It includes a sata to molex power plug, although I didn't need it.

Overall Review: The driver CD is a mini-CD, my computer has trouble reading these. Also, it appears that the company has put the drivers for every product they make on the CD, so you have to find the one you want from the "Readme" file.

Pros: This card installed easily, requiring just a little bit of forward pressure in sliding it in. It's currently powering and reading/writing to a USB 3.0 external hard drive with no problems whatsoever. I can respect having the option to use the additional power connector, as not all applications may require it and it would take strain of the motherboard socket.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: I was wary at first, with this product only having only one review at the time of purchase, but I'm happy to say the product is working well.

Overall Review: This is a great card. It's inexpensive, easy to install, has a simple driver to load, and then it just works. Maintains high transfer speeds - depending on the device I have connected/file size/number of files, I get sustained transfer speeds of 50MB/s (slow, CPU intensive transfers) to ~105MB/s (most common, just copying a bunch of files).

Pros: Low profile bracket included, internal USB port, and 4 pin power.

Cons: These ports are not going to be bootable, but that's to be expected.

Overall Review: I bought this card to add USB 3.0 drives to an old HP N40L. I needed a small card with a low profile bracket, and the 4 pin power was a plus because that's what the server uses anyway, so no adapter needed. The internal port was another plus, the N40L has an internal USB port, and this was a way to have that same internal USB capability, but at 3.0 speeds.
