It looks like this device needs power cables to work. Mine shipped without any cables, and I plug in a flash drive, but it doesn't light up. Also, this was on windows 10. Are there Windows 10 issues?

It is most likely a power cable problem - if I recall correctly, I bought a y-splitter (split an existing sata power cable that went to the hard drive - make sure the length will be okay for the two legs based on the location of the drive and the card). If you don't have a sata power out - you may need to get this molex adapter

Haven't tested it under Windows 10 - but it worked fine (with the power cable inserted) in Win 7 -  good speeds. Don't anticipate Windows 10 issues.
