my tower is 20 inches long. Some people have said that the length of this is too short. Can I put two of these together and make one unit that's about 20 inches long to better fit my tower?

No I wouldn't bother. It is very stable with just one unit, even though it visually looks like the casters are too close together. My slight beef with this solution is this: I like to open the side of my case pretty often, and that absolutely requires removing it from this piece. If that's not an issue, I'd say go for it.

will this fit my haf 912?

The HAF 912 width, as per CoolerMaster's spec, indicates that the HAF 912 width is 10".  The maximum adjustable width of the SY-ACC65057 is 9".  So it will not fit.

However, Syba does have the same style stand that will adjust to 13" (SY-ACC65079), which is sold at Newegg.  Just search for that part number if Newegg's search box.

Both are great and sturdy stands. I've used the SY-ACC65057 for about 12 system builds over the last 3 years, and will continue to use them.
