Yes, but you wouldn't be able to stream the files like you could normally if they were on the NAS drive. The only way you could access them (by my experience) is through the web-portal's "file explorer" or by using a client like Filezilla. So the USB drives 'could' be used as extra storage for files you don't use or need often. If your intention was to add two more drives to raid them or have all three of them formatted to one virtual drive, that functionality only works with multiple synology bays by the ethernet connection
