What is the inner pot made of? aluminium or stainless steel?

The description is correct.  The inner pot is made of stainless steel and also has a thick bottom like a typical cooking pot.  I felt the weight.  I have two pcs: TPC-6LB works well for a year so far and I just start TPC-5LB too.

May I ask if the volve (seal vs. vent) on the top is kind of loose and floating? I just got this cooker yesterday and would like to confirm. Mine is pretty loose and somehow I feel it's supposed to be stable and tight...

The volve is suppose to be loose and floating.  It will self seal once the pressure cooker starts building pressure and will release again once enough pressure has been released at the end of the cooking process that it is safe for you to open the pressure cooker.  Love mine.  Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do.

I just bought from you the 5 quart pressure cooker. Question - is the valve switch on top which shows pressure, and valve, etc.  supposed to be tight or is it loose and floats to the different terms?

The valve is very heavy, not tight. But tight or loose is not important for this pressure cooker. As long as you put it at the right position, everything will work fine. I've used it for more than one year now. No problem yet. Highly recommended!

The controls are in a language I don't speak. On a previous, nonstick pressure cooker, there was a special button just for that. I don't know about this one. I wanted a stainless steel pot, but I think I should have gone with the Canadian version.

I have a family of 4 and it's works well for our family.  It's a little too big just for making rice but it's prefect for making meat stew or soup.

Yes, best thing to do is go buy yourself a Pressure Cooker cook book.
That is what I did, made my first meal in it a few day ago and it came out great.

Can somebody tell the inner pot's Dimensions?

Inner diameter is 8 1/2 in
Height is 6in, but it says not to put more liquid than 5in.
Also, the bottom is slightly slanted, so the inner diameter at the bot tu om is about 7in.

We just made corn in it and it fit 6 ears.
