Does the steel cable attach to the USB drive? Will it help you keep track of the usb drive, and will it allow you to put it on your keychain?

Hi Blake,
The lanyard that comes with the drive is not made out of steel however it would allow you to attach the drive to a keychain.  I do no know how strong it would be, the lanyard may be ok but the attach point on the drive itself is not.  I think that some of the reviewers have commented that when they tried to pull the drive out of the port by pulling on the lanyard that the plastic at the attach point failed.  One thing to consider about this drive is that they are VERY SLOW both in read speed but especially when writing to them.  I bought them a couple of weeks ago and did not pay very much for them so I did not try to return them.  I would not consider buying them again instead I will purchase "Mushkin Enhanced Atom USB 3.0 Flash Drive"  They are the same physical size and though they cost more they are a lot faster.  They have 8GB, 16GB and 32GB capacities and the 8GB one is only $8.99 here on New Egg.  I do not think that they come with a lanyard however they do have an attachment hole for one.  I have made my own pen drive lanyards using monofilament fishing line that work well for attaching them to key chains. My advice is to spend a little more on a faster drive and to leave these at the store.

Does this have an LED light?

I didn't see an LED light anywhere on it.

The pros: it is extremely small. It's practically just the port. The cap has a very nice feel to it as it snaps on, it feels buttery smooth and has a satisfying click. Hard to explain, but it slips on incredibly well even though it's just plastic

The cons: it is extremely small. You can lose it easily though it does come with a band. The cap doesn't fit on the other end of the drive so when it's plugged in, you need to keep it safely.
