Would this work with an Ooma?

Not totally familiar with the Ooma.  The Ooma hardware definitely requires and internet connection to work and while this has a CAT5 connection, I'm still not sure if it would actually work.  I believe the Nexus is designed to work on networked system such as in an office so  network connection in an office would usually just be a basic internet connection.  Certainly a decent chance it would work but no guarentee.  Great conference phone.  Hopefully a real IT guy will get on an answer your question more definitively than I can.

Will this work with an AT&T Phone System?

I don't believe it will work on multiple-line telex systems. Best to ask the company directly as their address is at the bottom of the page. Don't be too surprised by their answer because I believe it is meant for single line duplex phone systems only.

Question 3

How do you get Caller ID to work. When a call comes in, it just says incoming call. I hit the button with the bent arrow, and it just cycles between the time and date and back to incoming call?

I get the same thing!  no caller ID it just says incoming call. The back lit light is always on, you would think it would go to sleep and turn off after a minute or so. There is a quite hiss in the speaker all the time too.  BUT, I must say besides the stuff i mentioned the phone does work REALLY GREAT while talking to callers and it works REALLY GREAT on there end.

I was thinking of using this as a glorified intercom phone with an additional unit to call from upstairs to downstairs. Do the 2 units have to be connected via that Ethernet cord or what is that used for?

The Ethernet cord will have nothing to do with Routers like IP phones do, in this system it is used between the phone and the power supply, it gives power to the phone along with the phone tip and ring wires and sends the audio from the phone to a RCA jack on the power supply  for recording to your recorder if you want. You would also just plug in the rj11 phone plug into the power supply which will like i said before then be used on the Ethernet cable to the phone.
