I own a Lenovo ThinkPad Edge Core I5 with slow wireless connection from 2 rooms away? Will this Tenda adapter help? I have read reviews of Lenovo U310 Ultrabook that say this device helped them.

Labtops have wireless lan built in.   The Tenda wireless adapter is just like another wireless lan in your labtop.  It performs better or not depends on if the Tenda adapter has better tech specs than the one in your labtop.   If the Tenda specs are better, yes, it will help, otherwise, no.   You can't use both the labtop built in lan and the Tenda adapter, so either choose the Tenda adapter or the built in lan as your connection.

What mac address do i put in when asked?

Shouldn't be asked unless using access control on your router / access point.  If this is the case,  then try getting the Mac address by clicking start,  then search/run,  and enter 'cmd' without quotes.  On the command line,  type 'ipconfig /all' without quotes,  them press return.  Find your adaptor in the list and the Mac will be displayed.

will this work with usb 1?

USB technology is backward compatible.  USB 2 devices should work on USB ports.  Opposite not true.  USB 1 devices may not work on USB2 Ports.   However, since USB1 ports has bandwidth limitation and other technical specs not as good as USB2 technology, the performance of USB2 devices maybe limited or bottlenecked to what USB1 ports are capable of.   Hope that answer the question.

are there any mirrors for the Tenda Drivers? the tenda.cn site has download links that are very slow and fail everytime.... any help is appreciated.

I used the drivers that came on the mini CD with the wireless adapter. I had no need to download from the internet.

Hi All,

I have one of these adapters but have lost my driver disk for it... can anyone please give me a link to download the driver...?
Please do not direct me to the Tenda site because the 2 versions they have there for download do not open once downloaded.

My other option is if someone can upload their disk and send me a link to down load it
