Thermaltake's Smart Case Fan II features three different modes of operation at one low cost. The 80mm fan can run at full speed for ultimate cooling power at 4,800rpm. A temperature sensor is linked to the fan's motor, however, and can be used to automatically control fan speed. When your system temperature is cooled to 20C, the fan spins at a slow 1,300rpm. If your PC should reach 55C, the fan speed will increase automatically to 4,800rpm.
The Smart Case Fan II also has a variable fan-speed controller that allows you to manually adjust its speed from 1,300rpm to 4,800rpm. A simple connection to a standard 3-pin fan port on your motherboard is all that's needed for power.
