Welp, let's see..  I DON'T MAKE IT, so what COULD I guarantee??!!
Next, if you couldn't figure out what this could do to help you, I doubt that my input would be of any great importance..  For your information,  this is a GREAT device to keep your CPU cool..  Likely you don't even understand the meaning of CPU..  (C)entral (P)rocessing (U)nit...  I love mine `cuz it's awesome for overclocking temperature problems..  run things a lITTle to far, you're looking at water-cooling..  This lil' puppy runs awesome! And it's really quiet with PWM control!!
Remember which CPU you're dealing with..

does the come with the heat sink spread pre-applied or do you have to buy it seperate?

It most certainly does NOT come with thermal paste pre-applied or one would have to scrape it off from it drying out.
Thermal paste is kinda like denture cream.
Get a good paste or you'll rue the day you go to swap cpu's..
