can the magnet accidently zap your motherboard? I remember my son put magnet stuff on the case and it zap the motherboard. burnt couple onboard device on the motherboard cause he put magnet stuff on the case.

The magnets are very weak. I put these in between the fan and the case and the screws help hold them in place. Without the screws they might fall off if you bump the case. If they are on the inside of the case and fall off they could maybe do some damage. They can also be mounted on the outside of the case.
