does this come with fans in the case or do you have to buy them separately?

The case comes with three 200MM fans installed already. Two on the front, one on the top. There's also a slightly smaller exhaust fan on the back. An additional 200MM can be mounted on the top, but it's a bit of a complicated process if you want to control it like all the other fans, as the control panel's chip only has two ports for them. The two front fans take up only one slot by way of a wire splitting extension, but I was unable to find a second one of these when I tried to install a fourth myself. Worst case scenario, you'd have to bring out the soldering iron and electrical tape for some manual modification, but it may be easy enough to find a proper extension for order or at a computer shop.

Question 2

Does this case come with a PSU or do I have to buy it separately?

This case does NOT come with a PSU (Power Supply Unit).  You will need to buy a power supply separately.

I have been very successfully building computers for almost 20 years, and I very strongly recommend Enermax brand power supplies.  They are built to a high quality standard and will last a very long time.  I am using an Enermax power supply in my current computer that has lasted TWELVE years, and is still going strong.

Question 3

Do all the included 200mm fans have a 3-pin connector?

All the fans come with the standard 3-pin connector for motherboards.

Question 4

Is there any way to chance the color of the fans to red instead of blue? Or is that my only option?

When I bought mine (one year ago), there was only one option for installed (blue) and replacement fans (no LEDs). The case design was new so only regular fans of the same size w/o LEDs were available, the company may have released the factory blue-LED fans by now. For a more definitive answer, contact the Thermaltake customer service, those guys are pretty helpful.

will ASUS X99-DELUXE LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard work with this unit?

Yes, the ASUS X00-DELUXE has a ATX Form Factor and the Thermaltake Core V71 supports Micro ATX / ATX / Extended ATX.  So will work no problem.  I own two of these and they are pretty tall but an awesome case if you plan to liquid cool.  I have two liquid cool radiators in my case with room to spare.

Hello All,

This is what i want to know.  I have a 2 raid system consisting of 2 ssd's 2.5" and 4 3.5" 2tb ea.  I do want 1 dvd/blue ray rom at the top.  Will I be able to fit all of this and a rad in front and top.  I've got an EVGA x79 Dark mobo, GTX Titan w/water block.  Any recommendations?  Im sitting on hardware trying to find a case that will support what im trying to do.

I was thinking top rad size between 360 and 480.  Front rade between at least 240 to 360.

CAN IT BE DONE?  if not what case will!

If you're only going for push OR pull for the front, it can be done easy. The case can only support up to a 360mm radiator in the front and top, or a 420mm if you can find one. But yeah, you can fit the hardware. And you won't need adapters for the SSDs, the drive cages come with trays, you'd just have to screw them in

Would a Corsair H110 Extreme fit onto the top of this case?

it will fit with ease. you should also still have room to use the bottom ext drive bay as well. this case can take up to a 420mm radiator if you remove the bottom ext drive bay. I used a XSPC Raystorm AX360 Universal CPU Water Cooling Kit w/ D5 Photon.

Will a corsair cx series CX600M fit and work with this case?

Definitely. It's a really big case with tons of room. You could easily fit a 1600 watt in it if you were crazy

Two questions, would you recommend this for a first build and is the exterior hard to clean?

It is a complex system.  I have big hands and this case is easy for me to work with.  If you have patience and allow plenty of time to do the build, this is a great combo.  The cpu cooler fans are noisy, I replaced them with liquid bearing units (3) and added a third to the bottom.  The new fans move more air.  The cooler fans exit the tip and the bottom fan exits the bottom.  My system sets on a table, not the floor, and is easy to clean with a vacuum.  The filters need a vacuum with brush to clean.  Yes to both questions.

I run a 4960x on a rampage iv black with 64gig ram, two gtx 780 classified, and 850w power supply.  The cpu is clocked at 4.5 gig hz stays below 65c on 24/7 use (over two years).  Only went to 74c during long stress test.  Best case I have ever had.  Have been building systems for over 30 years.

Can you use red led fans?

Core V71 fan control board is compatible with V71 blue LED fan ONLY. The use of other fans may cause connected fans to act erratically or cause damage to the fans and the board.
