Do these cases get really dusty? Since its open on the sides. my house is dusty plus I have a dog so dog hair would be an issue to.

I live in Las Vegas. needless to say it's a desert out here and I have two dogs, there is dust just like in any case but is not as bad as you'd imagine it would be, I love this case and I haven't had any crazy dust problems even tho its open. It doesn't require much more maintenance than your normal case.

Question 2

Hi,

I've noticed that there is only 1 place to put a single harddrive, where as i have my OS on my SSD and the rest of my things are on a HDD. Is there any way to add more harddrive slots?

So, standard config is three 3.5" drive holders inside the case. These can also mount 2.5" drives as well. Outside on the front has one identical drive holder as the inside three (supports 2.5 and 3.5" drives) bringing the total amount to 4. This is not the max amount though, since there are many mounting positions on the case itself to mount 2.5 and 3.5" drives (without the brackets) depending on what you have installed. you can mount 2.5 and 3.5" drives on the vents or even the bracket that comes for the water pump stand. This is a almost limitless config build, if you had the ability, would estimate it could hold up to 10+ 2.5" drives between all the mounting places and 4 drive brackets

Where do all the cables go? Are thick wires from the PSU able to be hidden? Thanks

This is considered a wall mount and between the base of the frame and the wall is where all the wires reside. Its more than enough room to manage your wires especially a PSU. However because the case is made for enthusiasts looking for an aesthetic look, its recommended to purchase a modular PSU to reduce the build-up of wires.

Question 4

Since a liquid cooling set up in this case almost requires custom tubes (according to other commenters), what cooler is recommended for use in this case? Thanks!

The dimension from the CPU mount to the radiator mount is rather long (approx. 16"+ from the furthest port) so if you are considering an AIO you need to ensure the tubes are long enough.

Personally, given the size of the case, a small 240mm (120mm x 2) AIO closed loop cooler would look lost in this case. It really benefits from a bigger radiator and reservoir ( between 250mm - 400mm) which do not exists on all-in-one (AIO), closed loop coolers. Actually, EK just released their Predator series that may come with a 360mm (120mm x 3) radiator that can be expanded to include GPU cooling, but I have no experience with it.

Now if you  choose to do a custom water loop, the possibilities are whatever you can afford, with the caveat that you can only mount one (1) radiator up to 480mm (120mm x 4) long, width can be 60mm thick or even 86mm if that's your wish.

FWIW, my water cooling parts are all EK Water blocks parts. I have a 45mm thick 480mm radiator, 400mm tube reservoir and a motherboard monoblock and full GPU water block with acrylic tubing and fittings and it was exactly what I was looking for. The parts are aesthetically pleasing to me, my temperatures under load are about 55 degrees Celsius, and it's significantly quieter than my previous case - so it's a win-win for me.

Am I required to attach the vertical GPU holder? Or can I just leave it out and install the GPU the regular way?

The case design is amazing. You can leave the video cards in standard,, or if you want to display your RGB, or  liquid cooled card you can attach the vertical mount and use the PCI extension cable  that comes with the case. I have done it both ways on multiple builds.

Will a 180mm (7.09") PSU fit and not cover the grommet?

yes, I am using the Corsair RM1000 PSU which is almost exactly 180mm long and it stops about 4 to 6 mm from touching the outer edge of the grommet.

Does the PCIe riser require a special cable for each slot?  Are any of those cables included with the chassis?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it requires a special connection that runs from the motherboard to the connection on the video card.  It resembles a really wide ribbon cable.  The chassis comes with one cable of this type.  I have never seen where another could be purchased in the event you wanted to add a second video card although the riser board itself certainly can accommodate it.

Is this case worth it if I use AIO liquid coolers for both CPU and GPU's ?

The Case IS very Well Built~~~Should be No Problem using Both! I have changed my mind on Mobo and CARDS at least 10 Times~~~Any of the 5 Corsair AIOs with the single cooler that NewEgg sells I can Recomment! Have at Least 1 of Each Up and Running at the Present Time~Refurbs from NewEgg are Great  I can't settle on Color Scheme for MOBO!  First I was White got the GPUs in White Looking at MOBOs and PSUs in White Also Memory   Then it was Green got Memory and SSD and 2 GPUs In Green!  Now it is Red and Black With a Asus MOBO a 1151 Intel Skylake CPU with Red Memory and MOBO  I do NOT overclock BUT do do SETI so the Machines Run 24/7!  You need a Fully Modular PSU, went with a Corsair RM750i!  It is Digital with ALL Japanese Caps!  NewEgg has Short 8" sata Cables to Keep the Sata Cables Short with NO Excess! Using the PCIe Extension Cables and am Going to Mount the 2nd CPU Below the First by Fabricating From Scratch Mounting Brackets!  Hope this Helps

So I received  the case today and put everything then came the side panel and it was covered in brownish paper bag like layer.
Which I could not take off at all without the fear of scratching the glass like panel.
Any advice/tips from Owners of this case???

I didn't have a problem removing the paper, it's not glass is actually acrylic. Paper came right off for me no problems no scratches

I really love this case. I'm not so sure I wanna jump straight into liquid cooling though would this still work good just using fan cooling? I would like to upgrade to liquid cooling later on but for now I would like to stick to fan cooling is that a possibility?

Consider Flipping the PSU to the Right Side of the Case!  Then using the Riser Cable [Included] Mount Your GPU in a Vertical Position in the Space Vacated by the PSU!  Use A Corsair CPU cooler just to have a QUIET Machine!  I have replaced 7 Air Coolers with H2O Units!  H60 is Enough for a 220 Watt CPU!  AMD or INTEL!  A Corsair PSU with a Digital Interface would be a Great Option to Lower Your $$$$ for Operation!  I Run SETI 24/7 so operating Cost is a BIG Deal for Me!  IF you overclock?  The Prefab Water Coolers for CPUs AND the GPUs with a Packaged Water Cooler are a NO Brainer! Have NO FEAR!  Enjoy! John
