Will this fan work correctly if mounted horizontally at the top of a CoolerMaster HAF912 case? Any concerns about it wearing abnormally if not mounted vertically?

I have 2 of these fans in the top of my Thermaltake T81 Urban case for almost a year, and mounted horizontally.  I've had no issues so far.

Can this fit in either of the top spaces of a HAF 942?

I believe so, the specs for a HAF X 942 states it accommodates 200mm fans.  I installed these fans in a Thermaltake case.
I do have a HAF 932 and the mounting holes for the this fan do line up.

HOw wide is it?

The dimensions on visible on the front of the package as 200mmx200mmx30mm. thats to the screw holes.

I have a thermaltake case that needs a new top fan, will this one fit my case?

The specifications of your case should say what diameter fan is acceptable for each slot. In my case (NZXT H630) the 200mm fans are used in the front, and 140mm at the top.

I have the blue LED version of this fan and discovered the hard way that the yellow wire on it serves as an LED power wire (not a tachometer). Does this non-LED version actually have a tachometer? Does the yellow wire on this fan serve as a tachometer?

I have a AZZA Genesis 9000 Case and am wondering since the top 2 fans are "special 230mm fans". So i am wondering if it would be ok to replace them with these 2 smaller fans so they fit the case? Since The 230mm Bitfenix spectre fans i purchased dont fit(to big).
