Can you control the RGB with asus aura lighting? If not, how can you control the color?

I'm unsure if Asus would have better results but I assume not as I cannot change it with MSI Mystic Light. The CPU does its own thing shifting through colors in a steady rhythm. The lighting isn't overpowering however and due to other internal lighting my computer has from the chassis, mobo, heat sink and graphics cards I don't even notice the CPU lighting. I guess it would depend on where the PSU is going in your tower and what you have around it

will it work with a vr rady build?

Yup, you shouldn’t have any problem. Though if you are buying a ready made pc- it probably has a decent power supply already. If not, go for it, otherwise spend money on at least a 1080 card.

Might be a dumb question but isn't the rgb facing down if the psu is mounted correctly ? Or am I mistaken ?

A PSU can be mounted upside down or upside right, there is no "correct" way... other than making sure the fan isn't blocked. My Thermaltake case has venting on the bottom of the case, so I could even have the PSU fan pointing towards the ground if I wanted (as I did with my last PSU). Most cases support the ability to mount the PSU upside right or upside down. If you have the time, unmount your PSU and flip it over to see if you can mount it that way as well. If so, you have nothing to worry about. If you can only mount one way - take a careful look at the supplied images above to see if your case matches up with the screw holes.

Unfortunately I can't see anywhere about that connector, if you try your PSU search with 8+2 I think you'll find a solution, though it doesn't look as cheap as that PSU.

Can this puppy really compete with Corsair and Seasonic, or even EVGA and Antec?  (The shell-shocked for this right now is almost irresistible, I'd grab one but I already have a Corsair and a Seasonic.)  I had a Tt 450w years ago that didn't quit until I replaced it, and a TT fan/sink I use in an older machine.  Does Tt compete with the big boys still?

what is the length of the cables and will they fit a P3 case if the power supply is "inverted" as in the fan is upward facing? my corsair one currently is very far from my cpu plug and is quite a stretch.

I have a mid-size NZXT case and I have plenty of extra cord length to my CPU, if that helps at all. I'd say the cords are about 3 ft in length if I had to guess.

New to PC building so this may be a dumb question. Does it come with the female end connector for molex 4-pin?

Yes it does.  This is one of the peripheral connector cables as well as the SATA power connector cables.
