Would this power supply be able to run a Power Color Devil AXR9 270X with FX8320?

It is not even bronze rated so I am curious?

No Crossfire w/ your 7870 (270X is OC 7870) w/ 500W.  For save ground of your future extension, get TR2 TR-750(Bronze).
I build a new system w/ this power supply (500W) cu'z my friend did not play any game (FX8320, SSD120GB, 8GB Ram, Antec case w/4 fans, CM H212 heat sink, Nvidia GF550TI, ASRock E970 MB, & DVD Burner)

Hi Ethan,

ATX computer case can fits most motherboard including this one. A motherboard costs much less power than CPU or video card. When you buy a power, I suggest you check the full loaded power of your CPU and video card. Add them together and that will be rough maximum power you need. Like if a CPU is 65W and video card is 300W. A 450W power is enough for you.

is this power supply enough for the AMD A10-6800k cpu with the Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H motherboard?

I don't know how well it will handle your quad core but i installed it on my AMD triple core athlon which i run to the max converting videos and it works great.  Under this kind of punishment I have also taken to running a small desktop fan to help air circulate thru the front and side of the computer.  Basically I'm happy with Thermaltake.

Is it ok to daisy chain the PCIE? Basically I have a graphics card that has two 6 pin PCIE power slots, does each power cable needs its own independent power (ie use the 4 power pin that came with the GPU) or is it ok to daisy chain the power supple cable that has two PCIE power slots in one cable?

Use the two six-pin plugs on the single cable. That's what makes the power supply crossfie-ready. As long as the supply is large enough to handle the load, there is no reason not to daisy chain just as you do with SATA power, etc. In fact, it's generally better to ensure the same voltage on two components working in tandem (such as crossfire) rather than run the risk of one circuit potentially running a bit 'hotter' than the other, causing an imbalance. The key is to ensure your supply is rated high enough to handle the load with room to spare and to keep an eye on heat, not just for your processor and video card, but also for your power supply. When power supplies overheat the voltage levels often pick up an AC component, and that is very bad news for your whole computer. I recommend you take a look at the tech specs for your proposed power supply and look to see what kind of ripple you might see under high loads. Then get a supply that exceeds your maximum anticipated load by at least 25%. Choose a supply with good airflow and fans and then make sure you aren't blocking any of the air path. Power supplies are fairly inexpensive but the rest of your computer isn't. A poorly selected or maintained power supply can end up ruining your whole day.

First, is 500W peak or continuous power? Second, there are 2 12V rails at 18A and 17A, but what is their max combined amp output?

This PS is "heavy duty" it should handle peak power just fine.  As for the amp output, I would say it's limited the 120VAC, if your concerned get a bigger output power PS.  The rule of thumb I use is 80% load, add up all the power needed and it shouldn't be more than 400W average.

my FDD is a 4 pin not 6 pin, anyone know where i can buy a 4 pin connection?

What is the length of the CPU and ATX cables?

I didn't measure them but they are plenty long for my tower case with cables to spare. Guessing at length would be about 2 feet
