Is this good for gaming?

Generally speaking yes. I say yes because in comparison to most other antivirus programs Vipre takes MUCH less system resources when compared to other competitors. The first time I came across Vipre I saw it installed at a clients machine in a hospital on an ancient 1.8ghz P4. At that time I had a 3.2ghz P4's at my previous employer who was running AVG. (keep in mind this is back in 2010) The 1.8Ghz P4 booted faster and opened the SAME applications faster than the 3.2ghz P4. I reached out to my software rep and replaced avast on my personal laptop (1st Gen i5 2.1Ghz 420m) Again it was the difference between night and day. Lastly I installed it on my HP netbook which would struggle with any AV software and it ran so much faster. So on a gaming system I know you would benefit from Vipre over another product due to its efficiency that it won't rob your system of needed I/O so that you can reach the highest framerate possible on your system while staying protected. If you do online gaming, regardless of whatever AV suite you purchase be sure to read the manual on setting up firewall rules for your game(s) if they aren't automatically detected.
